12 FlightDeck Global Broadcast Nodes Live

12 FlightDeck Broadcast Nodes Now Live Worldwide

We have just brought 12 FlightDeck Broadcast Nodes online around the world.

FlightDeck now routes Internet Broadcast traffic through regional nodes, so streams do not have to travel unnecessarily long distances to reach the broadcast infrastructure.

The nodes are distributed across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

This keeps network routes shorter and helps reduce latency for users in different parts of the world.

Traffic is also distributed across the 12 nodes instead of being handled by only a few central servers. This spreads the streaming load across the network and gives us more capacity as usage grows.

This only applies to Internet Broadcast.

Local Streaming still stays entirely on the local network and does not use a FlightDeck Broadcast Node.

All 12 nodes are online now and available to PreFlight users.
Node selection is handled automatically based on lowest latency when an Internet Broadcast is started.
